On July 19, 1905, in Brighton, two and four-wheel motorized vehicles prepared to compete in the very first Brighton Speed Trial. From the 1905 two-cylinder Peugeot and the Suzuki Hayabusa Turbo to various Nortons and Brough Superiors, all champions have been striving to conquer the same enemy: weight.
Our lightweight Brighton jacket was specially designed for summer wear. It is cut and assembled in Paris from two to three pieces of horse leather, tanned in Japan by Shinki Shikaku. The back is made from a single piece. The jacket has no lining and features beautifully crafted inside leather finishings. Shoulders and elbows reinforced with beige topstitched padding. Straight central zipper, water-resistant thanks to a wide flap. Rough cut edges except for the piped neckline and leather band protected underarms. Chest pocket and two back ventilations with 1930s to 1950s style Waldes zippers. Underarm metal ventilation grommets.
The quintessence of elegance combined with simplicity…
