Galibier… much more than a legend, this symbolic milestone of the Tour de France has been climbed many times since 1911. With gradients of between 5 and 10% over a 35 km distance, this mountain pass puts the roughest and toughest riders, as well as the most reliable materials to the test.
Designed by Pierre Girard, the royal blue Galibier jacket has no back seams and is crafted from a piece of 275g/m2 waxed cotton woven in England by British Millerain. It features a lined and stitched fitted belt with a leather buckle. Leather-trimmed inside pocket with zipper and six outer pockets: two chest pockets with zippers, one with a flap and one gusseted “D pocket”, two side pockets with flaps and two practical back pockets with flaps. Snaps reinforced with horse leather and custom-made Waldes zippers. Velvet-lined Cossack collar with a strap and leather buckle fastener. Elegant velvet cuffs, with a snap fastener. Navy blue cotton twill lining woven in Japan, with inside diamond shaped topstitched padding. A sporty yet sophisticated style.
